About ClaimCheck
ClaimCheck is an independent, advertising-supported website. ClaimCheck makes simple insurance arithmetic easier to inspect. The calculators show how user-provided loss, deductible, premium, coverage and inventory figures fit together; the guides explain where policy terms can change the result.
What we publish
We publish four browser-based calculators, a glossary, a before-claim question checklist and guides about auto, homeowners and renters coverage. We do not sell policies, collect quote requests or recommend an insurer.
How we research
Our factual references are limited to the Triple-I, NAIC, FEMA FloodSmart and LexisNexis consumer pages listed on relevant pages. We describe general concepts cautiously because policy wording and state rules vary. Every figure that comes from a third party is linked at the bottom of the page where it is used, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. If a carrier, retailer or organisation changes its published information, the official source wins over anything on this site.
How the tools work
The arithmetic runs in your browser using the values you enter. Results depend on those inputs and simplified formulas; they are not a coverage determination or prediction of a future premium.
How we make money
ClaimCheck shows advertising (Google AdSense) and does not accept payment from insurers, brokers, banks or any company in exchange for coverage in our guides. We do not sell leads, and we do not sell or recommend any specific insurance policy or financial product.
Corrections
